I have been working with S.O.T.E. as their Front Of House enginer for a long time now. They were the first band that I worked with doing live sound.

I knew the guys, because Esther Ladiges (S.O.T.E. bass player Peter Boers wife) was lead singer in the same progressive rock band that I played bass guitar in.

They knew I was interested in live sound, so once they just asked me to help them out. I did have some experience recording and technique but had actually no live experience. Esther helped me a lot that first gig and I just went for it and got in at the deep end ;-)  It worked out fine, the guys were happy. I was happy and it was great fun. 

I have been doing their sound ever since, and I got myself a couple of nice musicians and good friends in return. And they have with me on the IXION albums from the start. You could see they are in the 'core - group'.

Not only am I involved in there live-sound, I also functioned as a photo model on their album 'Time to End'.

For their 4th album they asked my to do the artwork. So in close collaboration with Peter Boer ,who wrote the lyrics and the concept of the album, we came up with some nice 'dark' and 'rough' artwork. It reflects the atmosphere of the album very good.
